International Living

This modern three bedroom home was inspired by a more European style than we are accustomed to in Australia. Utilising a more open floor plan with limited wasted passage spaces and a more shared living style, for example, the shared walk through bathrooms for the rear two bedrooms and a galley style kitchenette.

A polished concrete floor throughout has hydronic underfloor heating which provides a cosy warm feel.

The front portion of the home which includes the master bedroom and main living area was raised to ensure views across the reserve to the Murray River and Hindmarsh Island Bridge. The master bedroom is sectioned off from the main living area by an impressive floor to ceiling sliding door.

The ensuite layout was designed to suit the Owner’s need for no steps and open space in the shower.

A black mirror splashback reflects the stunning view through the large semi-commercial windows across the front of the home.

A rear deck includes a privacy screen and Louvretek opening roof system to give the Owner’s all year round entertaining options – along with allowing much-needed winter sun into their living area on those chillier days. The extended width of the eaves assists in eliminating the summer sun.

The home was built using a mix of the Hardies Scyon range of claddings including Stria and Matrix. The Owner’s requested a flat roof with a bold bulkhead which sits over the 2400 high windows. Symmetry and clean lines were achieved in all areas as desired by the Owner.
